This morning #TeamSeniors met with the future 135th graduating class of Stafford Schools to make sure they had all the tools they needed to succeed. We are grateful to Ms Ketter, Ms McNickle and Mr. Heminway for joining us in Personal Finance this morning. #OneTeamOneFamily

Our middle school takes on Skyline this afternoon at home. Volleyball starts at 3:00 and football at 6:00.

The cross country meet planned for Pratt this afternoon has been postponed until Monday, October 4.

Last week in Baking & Pastries, students prepared Banana Chocolate Chip and Mixed Berry Muffins after studying the "Muffin Method" of preparing quick breads. This week, they will learn about and prepare a recipe using the "Creaming Method". After the Quick Bread unit is over, students will be learning about and preparing the 6 Basic Types of Cookies.

Last week, students in one of the Culinary Applications classes prepared Raspberry Chocolate Cups. The dark chocolate cups were created in silicone molds, using tempered chocolate. The filling was a dark chocolate, raspberry mousse (whipped cream, melted dark chocolate, and fresh raspberry puree), topped with fresh raspberries. The dessert was absolutely beautiful and delicious, although very rich.

Picture day is tomorrow. Packets came home in the last week.

PrairieStar dental screenings are next week. Paperwork came home with your child over a week ago.

Trojan Nation yard sign - $15. Available in the High school office or you may see us at home games. (Proceeds for these signs will go to the Junior Class Parents, to help pay for after-prom.)

Twice in one week our community blessed our classroom. The yearbook staff is doubly grateful! Thank you to Mrs. Kim Fritzemeier for her patience, grace and perseverance in sharing her talent and skill with us. We are excited to take her lessons about perspective and composition out into the field as we practice our photography techniques.

Don't miss the Homecoming Hog Feed, sponsored by Junior Parents. Join us October 8th at 6:00 pm at Lou Brock Field!

While all of the students of Stafford Elementary and Stafford Early Learning Center strive to treat others right, make smart decisions, and maximize our potential, each month teachers are nominating a “STAR” student. What is a “STAR” student you ask? A “STAR” student is safe, thoughtful, and respectful but has also been seen showing exemplary effort in demonstrating the specific character focus for the month! In August the character focus was WISDOM. Students learned that wisdom means, “finding out what you should do and doing it!” Congratulations to these STAR students in August whose teachers saw wisdom in- Tucker Mason, Maggie Thrasher, Thomas Russel, Ava Hacking, Nora Trotta, Eli Vetter, and Paige Hacking!

The SHS Trojan football team travels to South Barber tonight to take on Chieftains at 7:00pm. The game will be streamed at nfhsnetwork.com

Culinary I classes practiced their Recipe Reading and Accurate Measurement after learning about them over the past week. Wednesday they prepared Pumpkin Whoopie Pies - they not only look delicious, they taste wonderful as well! We're certain this fall-inspired dessert is what brought the beautiful fall temperatures to our area this week!

We at Stafford 349 are so blessed in our community. The yearbook staff is very grateful to Mrs. Austin for generously sharing her time and expertise this morning. We learned a lot about camera settings and how to utilize them to our advantage. #OneTownOneTeamOneFamily

The HS Volleyball team will NOT be playing at Norwich this afternoon.

The Stafford High School varsity football team will play Peabody tonight at 6:00pm at Lou Brock Field.
