We are so excited to announce that our spring Scholastic Book Fair is just around the corner! This is one of our favorite events of the year and a wonderful opportunity to get great books into the hands of our students.
Students will be able to shop during their scheduled library time and selected open shopping times. From picture books and chapter books to posters, bookmarks, and fun school supplies...there’s something for everyone!
Every purchase helps support our school library and allows us to continue bringing new books and engaging resources to our students. 💙

She is among just 30 outstanding professionals, age 30 and under, who will be recognized at the National Afterschool Association’s 2026 Convention in the Washington, D.C. area this March.

The Class of 2027 is hosting a Dessert Silent Auction at the basketball games this Tuesday, February 17th!
Today our 6–12 students had an incredible opportunity to learn about careers in law enforcement!
We were honored to welcome K-9 Officer and Sergeant Cole Smith, who spoke with students about what it takes to pursue a career in the Police Force. They shared valuable insight into the steps students can take after high school to get on track — including attending the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center (KLETC) academy. Students learned that the academy is open to individuals 21 years and older and requires sponsorship from a Kansas police department in order to attend.
Students also learned about an exciting opportunity for juniors and seniors: the summer training program hosted by the Kansas Highway Patrol Cadet Law Academy. This program offers hands-on experience and a deeper look into the life of a law enforcement officer — a great way for interested students to explore the field early!
To top it off, several students volunteered to participate in a modified version of the fitness requirements training used by our local Stafford Police Department. It was a fun and motivating way to see firsthand the physical preparation required for the job!
Thank you to Officer Smith and our K-9 unit for investing in our students and helping them explore future career pathways. We appreciate your service and your commitment to our community! 💙

Stafford Middle School Girls are back to back HOPL Basketball Champions!
Today, members of the Stafford FFA traveled to Marion to compete in the District FFA Food Science Contest!
This contest challenges agriculture students to apply real-world food industry skills through several hands-on and analytical events. Competitors completed:
📘 A written exam covering food safety, quality assurance, and industry standards.
✉️ A complaint letter analysis, where students evaluated customer complaints and determined appropriate responses and corrective actions.
🔺 A triangle test, a sensory evaluation used to identify differences between similar food products.
🌸 An aroma identification test, where participants matched various scents to their correct food-related sources.
Our students worked hard, learned a lot, and represented Stafford FFA with pride. Great job to all who participated! 💙💛
