
Students enrolled in Culinary Essentials are learning about the Kitchen Brigade system, including the Garde Manger, who is responsible for the preparation of salads. As we continue to practice and refine knife skills, students spent the week preparing vegetables and homemade Ranch and Cesar salad dressings. Students each designed a composed salad with various greens, vegetables, grilled chicken, and house made croutons.




Don't forget🌲 Angel Tree Applications are due Friday, Nov. 11th! Please remember, the purpose of the Angel Tree is to help those living in OUR community that would otherwise not have a Christmas. Applications can be picked up in the Elementary Office.

Next week (November 7-13, 2022) is the KSHSAA Buffer Week. There is to be NO high school athletic programs meeting for practice, conditioning, etc.
The KSHSAA reads as follows:
Section 2: Senior High Regulations
FALL ATHLETIC BUFFER WEEK
Art. 1: There shall be no athletic practice, off season conditioning, informal basketball shooting, working out on wrestling
mats, etc., in school-owned facilities during the Fall Athletic Buff er Week, commencing on Monday of Standardized
Calendar Week (SCW) #19, through Sunday, SCW #20. Athletic activities of this nature may not be held under the supervision
of a school staff member in non-school facilities. This means a moratorium on all school-sponsored athletic
activities during this week.
Gymnasiums shall not be open to the students during the Fall Athletic Buff er Week for the purpose of shooting baskets,
working out with weights, etc., outside of school hours. Noon hour and physical education classes are considered part
of the school day.


Don't forget - the Book Fair is open until 6:00 pm tonight! !!


Parents! It's time to sign up for SRC Basketball! Forms are available in the Elementary office and, for your convenience, can be returned back to the school with your child!

Our high school students will travel to the state fairgrounds tomorrow to attend the ESSDACK Career Expo. If you have not signed your student's permission slip, please ask them about it tonight. Our PK4 class Conferences will be a meet and greet/come and go event from 1pm-6pm tomorrow, October 27th.
