Trojan Wall of Fame

Hunter - Middle School Track & Field

“Hunter is always excited and in a positive mood everyday at practice! After we returned home from Pretty Prairie, Hunter showed great leadership by going back on the bus to make sure all windows were closed and all trash was picked up. Great job, Hunter! He and his teammates had a great start to the track season last week and I’m excited for it to continue this week!” - Coach E.

“Hunter always has a positive attitude! He always asks coaches how he can help, stays last on the bus to close windows and check for trash, and is willing to try whatever we ask of him! Hunter is a great representative for Trojan Nation!” - Coach Conant

Paige - Middle School Track & Field

“As a 7th grader, Paige has stepped up and helped lead our team!  She puts forth extra effort to better herself as an athlete. Paige pushes herself, keeps a positive attitude, and most importantly, shows kindness to everyone… signs of what a true Trojan should be!” - Coach Conant

Brody - High School Track & Field

“I am nominating Brody for High School Track and Field. Since practice has started I have only heard positive comments from coaches about him. Brody has really taken ownership of his events and has also stepped up as a leader to help those younger and less experienced than him. He has shown enthusiasm for the season and is putting in the work to make it a great senior season. Keep up the good work Brody!” - Coach Burnett

Madilyn - High School Cheer

“It has been such an honor to have Madilyn on the cheer squad for the past four years. She has so many amazing qualities, it’s hard to sum it all up into one paragraph. To name just a few, she is reliable, hard working, diligent, detail oriented, responsible, respectful, level headed, drama-free, and kind. Every now and again, she’ll also let her sassy side show, which I think is pretty great, too! Just enough fire to let you know she means business but not too much where she’s disrespectful! I will miss her leadership in the years to come but I am so excited to watch her tackle whatever she throws herself at in life after high school. Congratulations, Madilyn! You’ve earned every good thing that comes your way and more.” - Coach Johnson

Kirstin - High School Cheer

“What to say about Kirstin? Although she doesn’t use her beautiful smile as much as I’d like… she keeps things light and fun and can frequently be caught giggling (or sometimes “cackling”)! She has a good sense of humor and is a joy to be around. Beyond that, she’s responsible and respectful. She has a good head on her shoulders, making smart choices for herself and her future. I am thankful for the time I got to spend with her on the cheer squad and our life chats on the way to and from games. I will miss her next year and wish her all the best in her future endeavors!” - Coach Johnson

2024 Prostart Team

“The 2024 ProStart Team consists of Anna, Brock, Kirstin, Katelyn, and Jimi. This team went above and beyond this year with their complicated menu and willingness to put in the work to compete at the Kansas State ProStart Culinary Competition. The team spent 2 1/2 to 3 hours practicing each time - all outside of school hours, including weekends (even during Spring Break).  ProStart isn't only about cooking good (awesome) food - it's also about developing unique, gourmet recipes, menu pricing (everyone's favorite), and learning to perform under intense pressure! This team prepared an Italian inspired menu including Arancini (ask Brock what this is if you don't know), a Garlic-Thyme crusted filet mignon with Sautéed Summer Vegetables and fresh Fettuccine, served with Alfredo Sauce, and a Tiered Lemon Polenta Cake with Lemon Curd, Fresh Raspberry Sauce, and Mascarpone Whipped Cream.  Students are challenged to prepare the meal within 60 minutes, using only 2 small butane burners, and no running water, refrigeration, freezers, or powered kitchen tools/equipment.  This year they competed against 21 other schools from around the state, including Olathe, Overland Park, Manhattan, numerous Wichita area schools, and both Dodge and Garden City.  Stafford is the smallest school competing by far - the next smallest school has over 400 high school students. This year's team ran into issues with the event-provided burners that both stopped working. They kept their cool, continued working and problem-solving, and served the judges a top-notch meal that received many positive compliments from the judges.  We do not yet have our overall ranking - however, I am proud of them no matter where they placed.  Thanks for a great experience and another unforgettable Wichita trip!” - Mrs. Unruh

State Champs! - Middle School TSA

Charlotte, Eli, Emmitt, and even one lucky elementary student, Mason, got to compete at State for the Technology Student Association. In doing so, they brought home first place trophies in not just one but THREE areas: Video Game Design, Leadership Strategies, and Tech Bowl. Their hard work and success has earned them an opportunity to travel all the way to Orlando, Florida in June to compete in Nationals! Well done, guys! We are SO proud of you and love to see you representing Trojan Nation in such a positive manner. TSA sponsors are Mr. and Mrs. Hemingway who helped coach them to victory!

Joseph Valadez - Student of the Month

“I appreciate Joseph for his kindness, humor, and responsibility. He can frequently be caught smiling, laughing, and making smart choices!” - Mrs. Johnson

“Joseph Valadez has stepped it up this semester in academics. In addition, he was the first Trojan to become ForkLift certified and he is currently acing an online college course in blueprint reading for welding. I appreciate Joseph's positive attitude and his willingness to jump in and help when needed.” - Mrs. Lowther

“Joseph is a creative student, whose brain loves to put things together and build projects that many others don't think of. His funny nature keeps the class light mannered. When he puts his head down to work, he creates amazing things.” - Mrs. Davisson

“He consistently shows respect for students of all ages and staff. Your disposition and manners always impress me. You're a kind and considerate student!!” - Mrs. Meyer
