Training To Lead (TTL) is an oppurtunity for high school students to give back to their community by training therapy dogs and giving them to homes where they will be loved or needed. Also gives the chosen dogs a second chance at life. 4 students can volunteer to take care of a shelter dog for 4-5 months training basic skills for manner and behavior. Then for more training they have to be able to be read to and not fall asleep. After the program is all done the students and their families can choose to keep the dog or give them to another family. Also the family can offer a donation for the students that join next year. The program instructor is Mr. Mike Cargil he is the science teacher of Stafford High School.
